New Kid in Town
Hi, I'm new here. My first digital camera was a Sony - can't remember the type. This was more than 10 years ago, and the camera was very slow but the pictures were great.
After that I bought a Minolta A1, which is still in use.
I am seriously considering the new NEX5. Was tempted to buy one right away but common sense tells me to wait a while. The Nex meets my expectations - I want a camera that is easy to take along, like my Panasonic TZ3 (very noisy at low light, though).
I abandoned Windoze some time ago, and switched to Linux Mint, and am currently using the Isodora release. Both, my wife and I like Linux better than Windows. The draw back is that some of my favored tools (FixFoto, PhotoImpact, and NxView) won't run. Looked for alternatives - Gimp is a great tool, and I am learning a lot of new things. My Xnview "substitude" is digiKam.
